Gold Coast Hinterland Frequently Asked Questions
- How many people will be on the tour? We have a minimum of 2 or 3 people, and a maximum of eight (8) passengers per vehicle, depending on which tour experience you'd like.
- What should I bring? We recommend you wear comfortable shoes (preferably closed), and bring a hat, sunscreen, and a jacket. (Even in Summer it can get unexpectedly cooler in the higher hills.) And don't forget your camera!
- Are there fitness limitations? No. Tours are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, although our rainforest canopy walk can be a bit of a heart starter!
- How much do the tours cost? Tours are available from $94 per adult and $55.00 for children (under 15 years old) Incl. GST.
- Will you pick up from our accommodation? Yes. We pickup and return you to your holiday accommodation (including private homes), from Sanctuary Cove on the northern Gold Coast, to Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta (QLD) and Kingscliff just south of Tweed Heads in northern NSW. We're the *only* Gold Coast 4WD tour operator to pickup south of Burleigh Heads!
- Will you pick up from Brisbane or Byron Bay? YES we can, for an additional fee.
- Do you include meals or snacks? Yes we do! We include a 5 star BBQ lunch (vegetarian option on request) with the all day tours, and Nelly's delicious homemade cakes and biscuits for morning/afternoon teas on 1/2 day tours.
- Can you provide customised food? We provide a vegetarian option for the BBQ lunch, along with gluten free sweets included with the treats, but if you want culturally appropriate food, just ask.
- Can you provide interpreters? Yes. Just ask!
- Which tour is best for me? This depends on what you'd like to see and experience. A brief tour guide is available here.
- Can we stay longer somewhere if we'd like too? Yes. If you decide you'd rather spend more time visiting a particular location, walking through the rainforest, wildlife viewing, or whatever the available option is, then we're happy to oblige. Flexibility and satisfaction are our aim!
- Can I get an exclusive tour? Most definitely YES! Couples, families and small groups can get exclusive tours, and we pride ourselves on being able to personalise our tours to your preferences, so if you want a tour (min.2 people) all to yourself or have a specific interest, or attractions and activites in mind, just ask.
- Do you have rates for families, groups and inbound operators? Yes we do. Family and Small Groups, M.I.C.E., large groups and special interest groups, and inbound rates are available, just ask.
- Do you accept credit cards? YES. We accept JCB, Mastercard and Visa
