Explore the natural beauty and the arts and crafts village of Tamborine Mountain. Walk through subtropical rainforests to waterfalls and pristine mountain streams.
We travel westward up rugged mountain roads to Tamborine Mountain, experiencing spectacular views on the way.
On reaching the top, we take a refreshing and leisurely walk the the rainforest where you're sure to be fascinated by the variety of vegetation including vines, ferns, palms and giant trees festooned with native orchids, and Elkhorn and Staghorns.
Bush turkeys are often seen on the walk, and for the sharp eared and eagle eyed, you may hear or even see whip birds, log runners and various species of parrots, along with other unique wildlife in their natural habitats.
Then it's time for morning brunch at the Botanic Gardens, where you'll enjoy Nelly's delicious home made goodies, including freshly baked cakes (served with juice, tea or coffee). Afterward, you'll be ready for a stroll along the famous Tamborine Mountain “Gallery Walk” with its many local arts and crafts, collectibles and gift shops.
We also visit a local winery to sample some of its award winning regional wine.
