Exercises aim to expel waste; to increase circulation, oxygen and nutrient supply; and to improve flexibility and feeling of well-being.  When stretching, always be gentle with yourself, remain within your limits. If you experience discomfort, just do the stretches in your imagination only -- this is effective too!

Remember to spend 10 minutes per working hour away from your workstation and moving.

1) YAWN, BLINK & STRETCH

2) FEET & LEGS:

a) wriggle toes...
b) rotate ankles...
c) straighten & flex knees.

3) SPINE:

a) arch forward & back...
b) rotate...
c) extend upwards.

4) HANDS & ARMS:

a) for fingers -- clench fists, stretch, tickle...
b) move wrists up & down & rotate...
c) bend & stretch elbows.

5) TO LOOSEN SHOULDERS:

a) raise & drop...
b) bring forward, then back...
c) rotate forward, then back.

6) NECK:

a) tilt head forward, & with
chin near chest, swing in
gentle arc from shoulder to
shoulder...
b) next tilt head back, & gently
swing from shoulder to shoulder,
with nose creating arcs in the air...
c) then gently circle forward, back
and sideways.

7) STRETCHES:

a) interlace your fingers &
stretch arms forward...
b) then stretch arms upwards...
c) and finally backwards,
leaning forward with head
tilted back and nose up.

8) YAWN, STRETCH & BLINK

9) Make stretching a regular part of your life!
