"Dear Lonely Planet, we have just returned from a terrific holiday in the gold coast hinterland and Tweed Valley in northern NSW. We always use your books as a planning guide ... and we want to recommend Tweed River Houseboats at Murwillumbah." F. and M. Saint

We're on holiday with Tashi's Mum & Dad and so far it has been excellent - the biggest & best break away from all the boy cousins!! Last night we slept out under the stars on the top deck and it was SPECTACULAR! I hope we get a chance to come back some time !  'Tash & Emma - Mordialloc, Vic 1/11/04

Well we have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. This really is a beautiful part of the country.Thank you to Len & Wendy for your guidance & sound advice and thank you to the good ship "Stacey Lee". 10/2/05 Neil (Canberra) & David (London)

Views with Stacey Lee Day 1: Yahoo! Finally here! It's our Anniversary and this weekend we have no troubles, no kids & 3 glorious days to ourselves. We went first upstream to Dunbible Creek and anchored near the "chook farm". Chooks were very well behaved and we caught a nice whiting! So peaceful up here - full moon on a cloudless evening.

Day 2: Downstream now and into the Rous River after a stop at Tumbulgum.Caught 2 bream and 3 mud crabs. We are revelling in the solitude & have already decided this is the best anniversary getaway to date.

Day 3: Last day - reluctantly starting to head back upstream - got 2 big muddies so a nice feed of seafood to take home for the kids, We had a wonderful weekend. Lovely boat "Krystal", lovely hosts and lovely scenery. It was so relaxing - just what 2 busy stressed out people needed, thank you Wendy & Len. We will be back !! 19/8/05 Doug & Tracie - Brisbane,Qld.

Birdwatchers paradise20/3/06 Andrea J - Bowen, Nth Qld.  Girl Observations:
1.This is the ideal way to spend a week for Over 50's
2. The Tweed is a great place to hide
3.Naturalists will enjoy the bird life
4. Fishermen will enjoy feeding the schools of fish that seem to be everywhere ( may even catch a mud crab)
5. If initial instructions are followed, there is no safer holiday.

21/3/06 Dan T - Moscow, Russia. A wonderfully relaxing antidote to city life. Waking up in the serene calm of the upper reaches of the Tweed is an incomparable way to start the day. Many thanks.

"Many, many thanks for an ideal 24 hour break away from Opera!! This is an idyllic part of the world. I hope to return to it a.s.a.p." Alex I.

"Dear Len and Wendy, Thank you for a great holiday on one of your boats. You made it all work brilliantly and your pre -departure briefing was spot on. ... We made full use of the barbecue and comfortable chairs as we bird watched (over 50 different species in four days) our way up and down your spectacular rivers." Fiona and Mike

Dear Wendy & Len,  Thank you for the "extra" things you did to make our houseboat holiday an enjoyable one.  The river and slow pace gave us the relaxation we needed and lifted our spirits. Kind Regards, Kaye & Denis. January 2002
