to the Local Government and Shires Associations campaign to fight
the State Government's proposed pro-developer laws. These laws
will mean communities will have fewer services and no say in developments
in their neighbourhood."
No Rally in the Valley This website has information regarding public concerns about plans to run a leg of the
World Rally Championships (as Repco Rally Australia) in the Tweed Valley and Kyogle areas
in September 2009 and then every 2 years for up to 20 years. No Rally Group Inc.is a community organisation formed by Tweed Shire residents in an effort to
fight the proposed rally and protect the Tweed Valley from inappropriate development.
We are working closely with residents of the Kyogle Shire to stop the rally.

shield volcano hosted an initial

for a biosphere reserve in this area. A

groups to provide input into the
nomination and management, to reduce
our collective environmental footprint.

to lobby for the restoration of the surf break at Kirra Point.
The deepening of the bay will also lead to a greater exposure of
Kirra Reef. The campaign recognises the significant community concerns
over this issue for many years and builds on the valuable work
of committed individuals and groups within the local community.

belonged in "the clock is ticking"

outrageous and just plain scary reading, often with the
authors and findings widely decried and debunked. A
quick scan of the current stories and synopisis shows ....
well, they told you so (not that it's any consulation). Simple
design, fast loading, excellent selection of links to current
authoritative news sources, and archives.
